Anyone want to go cruising with me? Max 7-8 days. Under $1000.

I want to go on holiday. Pampering, drinking, relaxing holiday.
Return tickets to London or Paris only $1361 including tax with Royal Brunei. How ridiculous is that? And I have no money.

Oh, KRudd, why isn't my stimilus package not $5,000?

It's been a week and I have not received my laptop. I checked the invoice and it says it won't be delivered until 1 April!

How do you run out of Macbooks, Apple Australia? It's not like I'm upgrading it with everything. It's just your stock standard run of the mill everyday Macbook.

GRRR!!!

As some of you know, I've been a little obsessed with Merlin of late. I love anything and everything Morgana. I've really enjoyed my stint with Uther/Morgana, but I've come back to my one true love, Morgana/Gwen.

But why are there so few fics? Why so few good ones? This makes me sad because the Merlin/Arthur fics are in abundance. And really good stuff too. Is it too much to ask for a lovely, long, beautiful Morgana/Gwen fic? This is not to say there haven't been some fantastic stuff, but most of this is friendship fic (which I love).

:::Le sigh:::

Darn you obsession!

Anyway, I'm asking for recs please.

I can't stand looking at my courtyard. I'm scared of it. The weeds have grown almost as tall as me.

Is anyone interested in earning $50 to do some weeding?

Sera is *not* loving the new cat (Ziba). She hasn't seen the other cat, but she knows Zi exists and keeps hissing at the bathroom door. So, I've taken to locking her up in the laundry room so that Zi can have a wander around the house. When Zi returned to her room, I let Sera out again. Boy was she pissed off. She started acting up and scratching furniture. I eventually put her back in the laundry but she's meowing non stop and bumping agains the door demanding to be let out.

I should have brought them home together and made them stay in their boxes for a day in the same room.

Sera is way to territorial and aggressive. I'm pretty sure she's going to beat up Zi if I ever let them meet.

But she's so cute and adorable when she wants to be which makes it hard for me to stay angry at her.

Suggestions?

But she takes terrible photos! She turns before I can get a shot so I always get the back of her head.

She's spent the last hour watching the Daily Show with me and then people watched for a bit. She loves the window sill. But now she's all tired and has returned to her hidey-hole for a bit of a nap.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] isilya  for the delicious food and dessert she cooked yesterday. Mmmmm...yum...Morrocan Lamb = I wants more! I'd like the recipe if I could.

Thanks also to [livejournal.com profile] special_trille , [livejournal.com profile] psycho_tabby , [livejournal.com profile] dark_squire , [livejournal.com profile] icantmakeme  and husband for their fantastic company. We played board games. I loves the board games. I loves the trash talking and the arguments and the sulking. Love it love it love it!

Oh, and I went to the cat haven with Tabby and got me 2 cats. I brought one of them home (Sera) and the other one will be collected on Tuesday (Ziba). Both grey tabby, and both quite lovely. I'm hoping they get along

Well, there's always the wineries... the Clare and Barossa Valleys are lovely.

Gah!

The housemate is moving out.

He went house hunting with his mother when she was over and they put an offer on the house and it got accepted.

Crap. Back to the drawing board.

This time, I'm getting a girl so my mum doesn't freak out.

So I finally suckered some poor unfortunate fool to share my house with me.

My housemate is a guy. This facinating tidbit is where my little tale begins.

Let me set the scene:-

The date is Wednesday, 14 January 2009. It is 8.30 am and I am calling my father from my work phone.

Me: Can I talk to Dad?
Mum: Why?
Me: I'm just letting him know that the housemate is moving in soon and I need the spare control for the garage. I'm not sure if he has it or the boys have it.
Mum: Oh, housemate. When is she moving in?
Me: He's moving in on Thursday.
Mum: He? He? What is this he? A housemate is not a he!
Me: Well, this one is.
Mum: But what if he rapes and murders you in the middle of the night?
Me: Why would he do that?
Mum: Because he's a *boy!*
Me: He's not going to rape and murder me in the middle of the night. He's a teacher.
Mum: Teachers can rape and kill people! Especially if they are boys!
Me: He's not going to rape and murder me.
Mum: But he's a boy!
Me: What about your sons? They're boys. They're not raping and killing women.
Mum: But they don't live with girls!
Me: *sigh* He's not going to rape and kill me in the middle of the night. The boys live behind me and I have neighbours either side of me. And if he does, I have all his details and you'll be able to find him.
Mum: *hrmph*
Me: I don't want to talk about this any more. Let me speak to dad.
Mum: How much rent is he paying then?

Before I continue, I should tell you that my mother believes the price I've set is too high and that no one in their right mind would pay that much. It's not ridiculous. I've checked. It's a reasonable amount.

Me: $x/week plus expenses and a month's rent in bond.
Mum: Oh, well why didn't you say so before? Well, that's ok then.
Me: *indignant* What? What if he rapes and kills me in the middle of the night?!?
Mum: Well, at least he helped out with the mortgage repayments…
Me: I'm hanging up now. Tell dad to call me back.
Flabbergasted!

My, he's young. Still, I look forward to watching Matt Smith in 2010.

I'm still really annoyed by 10. Not David Tennent. I heart him. I'm just really peeved with 10, tis all.

So, I've had a lot of complaints about the lack of "regular" tea in my house. As of last night, I have tea bags! Lipton Extra Strong Black Tea bags! 100 of them.

So yeah, you can all come over for drinks now.

Just don't expect fresh milk. Only the long lasting ones.

I has me a new toy.

She's only a wee little thing, but I will love her any way. She's the runt of the pack but one day when I have more money, I'll upgrade her and she'll be sparkling. Unfortunately I have no desk so until I get one, she's still in the pack.

So I've decided that I really like cruising.

Why? Because I'm inherently lazy and enjoy 5 star service. I enjoy lazing about, reading, eating, going to shows, karaoke and 24 hour servitude from those around me. I can get all of this on a cruise. And I'm thinking I'd like to go on another one soon. Maybe in 2010 or something.

Is anyone else interested? I'm looking at fly-cruises, but also looking at cruised that either start or end in Fremantle. I told you I was lazy!

Meanwhile, housemate hunting is not going great. People LIE! Obvious lies!

I'm back!

I'm back peoples!

With broken computer, broken bank account, and broken bits and pieces (I succumbed to the dreaded cold that AH has been spreading).  But, I is back and am doing my laundry. Then, sleep.

Oh so sad. Am now back in Roma and there is no 5 star service. No one to pick up my towels, make my bed, get me food. No extra desserts.

:::sniff:::

Peoples, I will be back on the 10th at pm, so totally make arrangements with me for days after that.

Boo has temporarily lost the use of her laptop... to me!
She didn't log out either.
Silly Boo.

Currently Boo has swollen ankles from falling over over so often, despite a regretable lack of alcohol consumption. She is well known in the tour group as a rear guard, faithfully following everyone else who can walk more than a kilometre per hour.

If this message disappears, or if you fail to hear from me in the next few days, Boo has successfully assassinated me in retribution for her suffering (and this little hijacking). It was good while it lasted.

AH.
Long time no post. Hmmm...where did I last leave off? I can't remember. I apologise in advance if spelling and punctuation is all over the place. I'm on an international keyboard so I have 254 code numbers for symbols and punctuation marks. Very annoying.

At any rate, I've posted some pictures on my facebook of Interlaken and Paris. Italy was a little weird with nothing actually working. I spent one of my free days in Rome at the Vatican museum which was massive. I still haven't seen St Peter's Basilica or the Colloseum. Will do so another time. Had a great time at Pompei and saw some ancient Pompei porn.

Florence was absolutely lovely and so was Venice. It was a little stinky, but I had a great time there. On our way to Munich, we stopped at Neuschwansien (sp?) Castle and discovered that King Ludwig was a 13 year old fanboy to the nth degree. He had 3 castles built dedicated to Wagner and his operas. Between the dining room and the sitting room, he installed a bat cave. I loved it. So tacky!

Am now in Budapest, but can't talk. I suddenly have a line of people waiting to use the free internet. Grrr! But, before I go, a conversation at the Hopfbrauhaus in Munich.

Nerida: He's a faggot. I don't think we have any of those on our tour.
Sassy: Um...
Nerida: (realises she's made a twat of herself) Not that there's anything wrong with that. Some of my best friends are faggots.
