Ok, a real one as opposed to the one about Idol.

So last Friday was very nice. Nadia, Theressa, Alison, Roxy, Tracey (the girls from work) and I took a flex and had a day of indulgence. We arranged for a limo and were driven around Perth for a couple of hours while we drank pink champagne and snacked on Swiss and Belgian chocolate, cheese and crackers, and strawberries. Very very good.

We were dropped off at Subi and did a bit of window shopping, then off to a Mexican restaurant. The food wasn't great, but the Margaritas and other alcoholic cocktails were fantastic. I think we had about a jug each. Have I mentioned my new love for Margaritas? After that, we went to the Vic to have a few more drinks before meeting up with the rest of the work people at the Moon.

Met up with Trille around 7 at the Brass Monkey. Theressa attempted to get Trille to abandon her plans to visit a sick friend by suggesting we go to Karaoke. But alas, she was strong and spent only an hour singing with us.

Karaoke, as usual was very enjoyable.

There were 3 huge parties in the private rooms so we got the whole public place to ourselves. We had 3 tequila shots and were ready to sing! After about half an hour, another group of girls came and we ended up crap singing with them. Fun was had by all and we were ready to leave around 10- 10.30 until... Mr Professional!Singer arrived.

At first it was great...he even did requests. Then another table of good singers. Oh my God, not again... Table 5 turned tail, abandoning us. We were not going to let these show offs run us out of *our* karaoke palace! We were there first.

More alcohol and much scheming later, we decided to show them what Karaoke was about. Was it all the alcohol we had consumed that led us to this decision or was it that we suddenly felt competitive when we were being threatened on our turf? We like to believe it was the competitiveness in us. But I digress... after much consideration we did our version of "Total Eclipse of the Heart." And we rocked. Were we good? Could we sing? No. But what we lacked in talent we made up with passion and a sense of self confidence that only alcohol could bring out. And there were cheer and applause. We performed our other classics with similar gusto, like Bohemian Rhapsody, Big Spender and Summer Lovin'.

We ended up staying until 1.30 am. So yeah, Friday night was fun.

Saturday, I spent time with Attics and we watched DVDs. We rewatched Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Who knew it was so dark and pervy? I didn't remember it being so dirty... Huh.

Anyway, must get ready for work. I'm starting my new job today. Will update soon.
