Last night I went to visit [livejournal.com profile] haunted_attics. As usual, I was late. Luckily, I had the foresight to warn her that I was late and NOT TO LEAVE THE BLOODY HOUSE.

Last weekend I fell asleep when I was supposed to have met up with her and she called. Feeling guilty, I got ready to go to Attics' house. I get there and:

Me: Hi, is Attics there?
A's Dad: Oh, you've missed her. She went out with her real friend. Friends that show up when they're supposed to.
Me: Then why did she call me? Why didn't she just tell me that she changed her mind after I was so late. Why didn't she just tell me that she was planning to go out so I needn't bother to come.
A's Dad: To teach you a lesson. *wags finger at me* I hope you've learnt your lesson young lady. Tardiness is unacceptable.

So yeah, this time I call her just in case. And also because I don't live all that close to Attics. Am I sounding bitter? I hope not. Bitter would be last Thursday.

Me: I'm coming to pick you up so we can go check out that new warehouse in Cannington. Don't forget to bring the catelogue with you. We need the address.
Danni: OK, sure thing.
Half an hour later... and our two central characters are at JBs looking at cheap DVDs. After much spending of crap DVDs as opposed to quality stuff, the two head out of the store.
Me: So, where is this place again? What's it called?
Danni: It's at Kenwick Link.
Me: We're at Kenwick Link right now. Is it within walling distance?
Danni: *snort* My kung fu is way better than your kung fu. This is only the beginning of Kenwick Link. This place is a million miles away. We need to go by car. It's about another 7 minutes drive and is opposite Bunnings.
Me: That doesn't sound right. Nothing of interest is next to Bunnings. Are you sure you don't mean WA Salvage?
Danni: Who's the one who found out about this place? You or me?
Me: Who's the one who is going to get kicked out of this car and get left stranded? You or me?
Danni: (quickly backtracking) Yeah, I read it and it was definitly at the corner of Albany Hwy and Austin Ave opposite Bunnings.
Me: OK, I believe you.
Half an hour later and still no shop to be seen...
Me: OK that's it. What's the store called.
Danni: Markos.
Me: I can't see it anywhere. Give me a look at the catelogue. Are you sure it's opened today?
Danni: Yes. It said Grand Opening Thursday 22 July. I can't believe they would blatantly lie about this. This is false advertising!
Me: Yeah, whatever. Give me the catelogue.
Danni: Ummm, it's at home.
Me: Why?
Danni: Because I memorised the address. I didn't need it.
Me: But I told you to bring it along. This is the reason why we bring along addresses and telephone numbers.
Danni: Fine, I'm sorry. *sulk*
Me: *10 minute bitter rant*
Danni: *sulk*
Me: Are you positive that it was Bunnings and not WA Salvage because it makes more sense at WA Salvage. All the shops are there.
Danni: NO! I said Bunnings. Why don't you belie...WAIT! Hang a right! I think I just saw it!
Me: What? Where?
Danni: There! *points to WA Salvage* Right next to... *mumble mumble*
Me: (looking at "Markos") The big blue building right next to the big yellow building? The one called Macros?
Danni: (sheepish) Yeah, that's the one.
Me: The one 3 shops from JBs?
Danni: Yep, that's the one.

So you see, bitter would be Thursday night.

Anyway, I arrive over and after much complaining, she finally decides that she was going to give me a drink. No, not just any drink though. She's made tea. Fancy tea! Fantastic apple tea. It was lovely. Which lead us to an hour and a half discussion of tea. We didn't watch anything, we didn't go out or even talked fandom. We were all about Tea and covers and why I'm so obsessed with covers. This inevitably lead to Disney songs and Karaoke. So we listened to the Beauty and the Beast sound track. Which lead to us singing along with the sound track. Which lead us to a song sung by the teapot and her teacup son, which brought us back to tea.

So now I'm thinking: High Tea anybody?

You are cordially invited to High Tea where I shall provide tea, cups and nibblies (read: scones, cake and cucumber sandwiches). Time and place is yet to be decided depending on how many people are interested in this.

The other more embarrassing invitation: Karaoke anyone? We are going to sing our hearts out 12 August. However, to get us all in the mood, am inviting you all to [livejournal.com profile] half_dem0n's place to practice so we don't embarrass ourselves like we did last time.

Anyway, yeah.

I completely understand how you feel about tea. I just love herbal refreshments...just not tea...

Hehehe...

Well Karaoke is on! Tea me love tea! Well obviously my aprreciation came from you *shall note next year birthdat gift*

Yes, good ranting, although I expected more ranting. You need a good ranting. Makes you feek much better.

Unfortunately yes, we can only plug in two microphones. But upside is big screen tv to laugh at models and Asian attempts at translating. Maybe some Shrek karaoke too??
