I watched DVDs today - 50 First Dates, American Splendor, and Cold Mountain. I must say, I enjoyed the movies very much.
I liked American Splendor because it was very clever and just plain good. I enjoyed Cold Mountain because it was very pretty and the story was simply lovely. 50 First Dates took me by surprise. That was supposed to be my enjoyable crap romantic comedy movie, except it wasn't. Maybe it's because I'm not well and my brain is playing tricks on me or maybe it's because I'm a sucker for cute animals, but I just really enjoyed myself watching this movie. And I guess it's because it's just so sweet and I appreciate the message.
I've gotten so sappy in my old age.
