Last week was fantastic for catching up with friends.
Monday:
Attics came over on Monday and we had dinner and watched "The Island" which was enjoyable crap. Hehehe... I had fun.
Tuesday:
Nadia, the lazy wench decided she wasn't in the mood for cooking so I had to fend for myself. So, it was toast and Spaghetti-ohs for dinner. *bitch*
Wednesday:
Tu has been overseas on conferences and has returned to two incident reports in regards to the way the theatres are run when she's area manager. Luckily she's had strong back up from the surgeons and doctors involved. So, pretty much we haven't had time to meet up.
She called out of the blue and so I met up with her for a lovely 2 hour lunch. Note to self: next time tell manager of your plans and cancel all meetings during the lunch period.
Thursday:
Thursday night is date night. Took Trille out for a double date with Nadia and Jose. We had Thai and it was so good. Then we met up with Attics to see "The Corpse Bride" which was highly enjoyable, and then to Fast Eddy's for hot chocolate and chit-chat. Very good time.
Friday:
Me: Nice weather we've been having. What to wear? What to wear? Don't forget it has to be nice enough to go for lunch and then drinks later with the girls. Oh something white and summery. Yes, good plan.
Boo at Work: Busy busy busy...reports reports yelling at people... reports...
Bastard Colleagues: Talk... talk... morning tea... more chitchat...
Richard the Bastard: We need to clear up the filing room and clean up the basement. Who's going to help?
BC: *suddenly very busy*
RtB: *looks at four strapping men, although no longer in their prime, are none the less quite healthy looking*
RtB: No, not the boys, they won't be able to help carry 20 boxes down 2 flights of stairs. They'll have heart attacks or something.
RtB: *looks at women* Oh no, they look busy playing solitaire... *looks at Boo in her white white outfit and her high heels* Perfect! She's prime candidate for moving heavy boxes.
*NOT!*
Bastard had me carrying 12 of the 20 boxes down to the basement. Bastard!
We return after about 3 hours and I'm all sweaty, hot and dirty and everyone is smirking and making suggestive remarks about the two of us spending some quality time down in the basement. Oh yeah baby, the boy really knows how to show a girl a good time...
Not that I'm bitter or anything.
On the bright side, we *did* do a bit of bonding which revealed that there was a L4 position coming up over at HR Consultancy, and after much harrassment, he's told me he'll recommend me if I'd stop complaining as his ears were beginning to bleed. Yes! But, that's not until next year, which is good for me.
At any rate, didn't end up going out with the girls. Nadia told me I missed out on a fab night out. Bastard!
Saturday and Sunday spent recovering from Friday's spring clean. That and going over the house plans and addendums. The preliminary plans were sent and I had the pleasure of spending four hours with the builders going through what was included and what extras I had to fork out for. Suddenly the building stuff, not so fun. I'm talking concrete and bricks and structural stuff, not the fun "what colours, what baths, what sink" stuff.
Other than that, it's been a good week.
