Dear Everyone: How I have missed you!
For all who said they were coming to my birthday, I have paid for the tickets and you can give me the money tomorrow.
Quick news both good and devastating:
1. My permanent appointment came through this morning.
2. I was given a couple of HDAs for a few months: a one month stint while Alison is on leave, and a 2 month stint to keep me happy.
3. I was offered 2 jobs: one in Freo and one at Vic Park CJS. I had to refuse both as they wanted me to start on Monday and that was not enough time. My manager refused to let me go and was a little pissed off. However, I have been told that another acting opportunity will arise in about 2 months and they would keep me posted. YES! Finally, all my harrassment is coming together!
4. I'm going to the Tori Amos concert! YAY! A little birthday present for myself and I even let someone else pay for it. How kind of me. They're not very good seats but still: Tori!
5. I have not managed to find gold spandex leggings and may have to go with another colour. Now it won't match my gold cape. Damn it! Will have to rethink my costume.
Work Gossip:
A married Executive Class One (let's call him Charles) was having an affair with his immediate subordinate (we'll call her Camilla). Apparently Camilla's partner found out and walked into a meeting and punched Charles out. He was forced to take some leave while the Board decided what should be done. Much investigation later, it was decided that the best option was to promote Charles into a different directorate (so they can be together?). This is unfortunate for the devastated wife and children whom promptly left, so he can live happily ever after with his Camilla.
Who said romance was dead??
